>>1639741In the 1980s, when .22LR rounds were dirt cheap, we would sit down with 2 large coffee cans of rounds and plink until all of them were gone. The barrels were so hot that water would sizzle and evaporate off them. We had a 1 mile long, box end hollow as a shooting range and had spinners setup all over it. We got to the point that we simply couldn't miss at all, regardless of the distance. Though, there wasn't any wind to speak of so it was pretty simple and only came down to form without much forethought.
