can't see a better thread to post in and my ramblings are not worth their own.
does anyone else get paranoid about buying gear which won't last 100 years or be infinitely sustainable if it only last a year or two??!?
i'm freaking out. materials like nylon, polyester, pu/pe/p-whatever the fuck or synthetic stuff scare me because of my reliance on them and their unsustainability. boots or runners with fancy high tech breathable eva cushioned moladable laser-guided whatever the fuck i don't know and five-layered soles with adamantium, they might be comfortable but they won't last, then i'll have to consoom again until the world runs out of these materials then what??
honestly i don't know what i'm saying, but i wish i could have like pure cotton or pure linen clothes or something enviromentally safe and renewable and maybe some rubber i can strap to my feet because i know some dick is gonna smash a glass bottle which i'll walk over, get hepatitis and die.. this sounds insane, and if you saw a dude like this on the street you'd think they were a homeless drug addict, but...
everytime i think about my reliance on plastic or synthetics or consoomer habits it makes me want to cry. i can't even buy some fucking rice noodles from the store without them being wrapped in enough plastic to choke a whale. and trying to buy organic food is gonna bankrupt me but it honestly tastes better and i don't have nightmares about crickets getting married.
i'm just a poorfag who can't buy my own land or live off the grid without stealing and begging and probably dying.
even when i go camping i'm still just a fucking consoomer with my gay ass tent. but i'd need a bank loan to buy any kind of gear which is made from high quality non-syntthetic, renewable material... :(
sorry.
