So, I'm new to /out/ stuff, and I have some questions, why are modern hiking boots so low? I thought you wanted em high for ankle support.
I'm currently looking at a pair of Corcoran jump boots, not really for /out/ activities, just for every day use, but I figure, it it's good enough for my cousin to wear in the military jumping out of planes it would be good enough to go hiking in.
What's the opinion on these kind of boots?
Generally I like higher boots, so unless there are some real good reasons to get ankle or lower boots, when it comes to getting actual legit hiking boots, I'd prefer something taller, are there good choices when it comes to that too? I just like how they fit and feel better.
