That’s not the case, nothing is really sealed except for a few bearings, and the grease in those will take decades to deteriorate, not months.
Just put a few drops of oil on stuff that moves and it will be fine.

I didn’t say a $30 machine will punch through leather, I said 300D pack fabric.
300D pack fabric such as the HyperD300 this cheap Walmart machine is sewing through in pic rel.
Imo how it feeds is far more important that how strong the motor is, at least when it comes to outdoor fabrics.
I really doubt that old singer foot pedal machine will feed thin and slippery nylon very well.
I wanna get a needle feed machine for exactly this reason
