>>1601140I can't say for Burgerland, but this is 100% true for Leafland. I worked in so called shady areas and the locals mostly just want to be left alone. Once in a while some beggar will ask you for money and you can just turn them away. I walk at night all the time and nothing bad ever happened to me. That being said it never hurt to carry a knife just in case. And obviously if you're a female, the faster you accept that you look like a walking piece of meat, the safer you'll be.
