the news said he had anti govt views and that was his motive, but the rumor locally was that one of the cops he shot was sleeping with his brother's wife.
I feel like that was true because they sent out a ton of people to look for him, and he traveled to do the shooting instead of just shooting up his local police dept. but even with all the manpower they sent after him, they only got sight of him a few times and said he was toying with them because he knew the woods well
i remember thinking at the time the dude just had to make it to halloween, and then he would have an opportunity to costume up and blend in with society and resupply. of course, he gets caught one day before haloween and they busted up his face even though they admitted he surrendered peacefully.
I wonder if Brian Laundrie will make it to Halloween, and uses it as cover to avoid the cops
