Unrelated question; why do knife autists contradict themselves? On the one hand its common to hear ‘ugh you shouldn’t spend more than xyz on a knife’ while at the same time claiming that ‘you should take really good care of your knife, that way it lasts longer’?
I mean, its either pure function (cheap, disposable, useful) or form + function (maybe a higher grade steel, nice multifunctional sheath) but then again that costs more, which is also fine.
