>>2258744There's nowhere in China like Hill Country / Central Texas because all the places as dry as Central TX are too high elevation to be anything like that combination of topography and savannah/brush forest. There are places sort of like the high plains of West Texas in Inner Mongolia and Western China.
The places in the world that are the most like that part of Texas are in Northern Argentina and Africa. Specifically interior Namibia resembles it strongly. Check out the photospheres around here on Google, they look like they could be taken in the Big Bend or Hill Country.
