Last thread covered pretty much everything I have to say on the subject, wanted to add that between that thread and this one I ordered and read these. There's a lot of insight to be had here, especially if you've ever been up on that ridge. The topic of dangerous decision making and logical fallacies that you can fall into which puts you into dangerous situations is extremely helpful and I feel better about my winter hikes in the white mountains for it. It's also extremely comfy that /out/ threads last long enough for a person to become interested in a subject, acquire and read books on it and still have the threads up.
