>>1887291Alaskan here. I do more stuff /out/ than 99% of this board and can assure you that there is almost nothing like Alaska elsewhere in the states. Maybe some parts of northern Idaho and Montana but still not the same. The 24 hour daylight, extreme mountain prominence, glaciers at sea level and glaciers covering entire mountains over a mile tall, rain forests, northern lights etc. The views you can get in Alaska shit on absolutely anything else in the lower 48s shit on anything else in the lower 48s. Best part is it is very easy to do a hike and not find a single person as long as you avoid all the easy stuff.
