>>2226419Thanks man. Good tip with tobacco plants is to pinch off the flowers as soon as they come, preferably before they even bloom. They’ll attract moths which pollinate them and they’ll lay their eggs on them too. Manduca sexta hornworms can devastate tobacco but are also one of their main pollinators.
After tobacco is pollinated they’ll create about 20-30 seed pods with around 300 seeds in each one. Though N. rustica isn’t normally grown for its yields or flavor so your chances of a plant are around 12-20% germination rate. After seed pods are made they will die since tobacco is not a perennial plant, and depends on its seeds to create the next generation.
