>>1276366The laces don't glide verry well through the metal loops which means you need a lot of force to pull them thight. This also means you can't adjust the overall fit as good. I have been issued a couple of different Haix models over the years and I didn't like any of them, but that's just personal experience and I suggest you just try out some boots at a store.
Pic related are my current Ranger BGS boots (can't recommend) and my Black Eagle Tactical shoes, which are ok but will probably be replaced too.
