Caught this one today. I was at the lake for about 2 hours, switching spots every 20 casts or so. I was consistently casting into shadows near reeds but didn't get any hits. This was my last cast, I threw out a cast about 50 feet out, and she hit my lure at about 40 feet from the bank.
Fought pretty hard and when I pulled her close she tried to get tangled up in lake-brush, i ended up pulling a small bush out with the fish.
17" at 10 lbs. Biggest fish i've caught in freshwater. Currently digesting some of it too, it was good.
