This guy is correct, these are convenient for throwing boots on and off BUT the Army doesn't allow these because of how easy it is to blow out that zipper. Just be aware of this when going /out/ in a pair an potentially losing your only pair of boots. medical wrap or duct tape may be required to give you a quick fix long enough to get somewhere with more boots. Just a factor to consider.
