While I can appreciate the charm of a classic building style like a log cabin, I feel like it's naive and dumb to not fully utilize all of the technological advancements that we've made in the past 200 years. You can have a low ecological footprint and be self-sufficient, but still use modern and smart materials and techniques to do so.
