Today, I made a bottleneck live trap. There's a hole under my chicken yard fence that raccoons enter through. The biggest one is too smart to get captured in the baited Hav-a-hart trap.
I made this one with 2 one-way push doors. Once caught I can relocate the animal. To let the animal out, I just flip the cage upside down. The doors fall open and the animal escape.
The racoons target the corn feeder. 50lbs in 1 week have been eaten by racoons.
