>>2762918>Lmao schoolbusses are literally the best solution for someone with land but no permit to build (aka you're in some shitty county probably attached to a shitty city)I tried working within the system for a while and hired a permit expediter to handle permit stuff. At one point in time a single county commissioner actually changed the law, completely outlawing vehicle living and RVs. From what I was told by my agent the commissioner got annoyed about his neighbor in an RV running a loud generator all the time (while their home was being repaired from hurricane damage), so he changed the law to get rid of the annoyance
You're correct it probably just is a shitty county problem. I'm an hour from the beach but this entire county is controlled by the richfags directly on the water. Had I known better I would have purchased land in a dirt poor landlocked county
>Schoolbusses are no good for the average person trying to 'vanlife' because you can't stay at 90% of campgrounds in a schoolbus no matter how tricked out it is, most of the retards trying to vanlife are trying to go from campground to campgroundAnyone wanting to travel should be in a van, but such a lifestyle seems pointless to me. Vehicle living should be a means to avoid rent/mortgage, so that money can be saved and invested in a wiser manner
Travelling is a waste of money that could otherwise be invested into making one's daily life higher quality
