fuck the screwdrivers get a multi tool, recommend leatherman wave or surge
for food i recommend making your own MREs from a dehydrator and air sealer. LOW salt/sugar foods are best, which issued MREs have high contents of. the only advantage issued mres have is they can create a hot meal without fire smoke.
