Guess space for storing offline maps is not a problem on phones, even my camera has fairly detailed map of the world in internal memory so you just load it all up.
Not to mention essential satellite view feature which is not available on dedicated gps units.
Sorry, dedicated GPS is thing of the past other in specialized roles like marine&air traffic.
Btw this was my first GPS back in the early 00's, way before smartphones, Benefon ESC, GSM/GPS combo phone so yeah, maybe I'm little biased.
