It’s enough to screw around with hammock suspension or remove the net if you need to, but not nearly big enough to easily reach in and hang up a quilt. So you have to unzip the net, and un-cinch one end, then reach one arm through the zipper and another through the open end.
What I could do is install another zipper that runs parallel to the hammock, from the cinched end toward the bottom of the net. It would allow one end of the net to completely open. I could simply unzip that end, slide the net out of the way, install the quilt, then slide the net back into place, passing the large zippered opening over the quilt.
Btw, if you ever make a full coverage net, I highly recommend the zipper opening like the one in the pic. This designs stays out of the way when you’re lounging. Straight vertical and horizontal zippers are terrible, and inverted u-shapes aren’t long enough.
