Finally a keeper halibut for the year after dozens of short this year. Color is beautiful too. Surprisingly, it was on a 5/8 oz which I rarely get halibut on (only 2nd on kroc, 4th on a spoon ever). Its stomach was completely empty so the thing was probably starving.
Got it right the heat wave in middle of fall is gone, and the red tides disappear, and the weather just started to cool down with overcast sky all day. Took quite a bit of effort to land that thing from a rocky inlet by myself with no landing net.
