>>144957>Can I just... sprinkle the pulp in my garden or is that bad news bears. It should be composed. That's really easy to do. Just put it in a bucket outside with the lid just askew so it gets air. Black soldier fly larva will take care of the rest (they are faster at composting than worms, fyi.)
Using uncomposted material can cause a number of problems depending on a number of factors. It is best to not get into the habit of going that because if you are still doing that and suddenly have lots of uncomposted material it may root burn your crops, give them a disease, or become a health hazard for you when you eat the fruits of your labor.
>>144958>Does anyone know what I can do with that many peppers that are that hot?Preserve them. Either dry them or pressure can them. I have tons of jalapeno peppers in little tiny 4 ounce jars I canned last year. They'll last for years and years.
>>144960Potted plants use up nutrients just as fast and non-potted plants. The problem with pots is the fact it is a small confined area. Using too much fertilizer will only result in root burn. The same amount of fertilizer on open ground tends to filter out into a much larger area and not root burn the plants.
>>144964 to >>144983Very nice!! I like the small welded wire trellis you are using for the various vines. I use the same thing. lol I rarely see anyone growing tomatillos. Making salsa?
Last year I had soooo many tomatillos, tomatoes, and peppers. Now I have tons of canned food from everything to last quite some time. Here's some pics from part of the harvest and canning operation.
>>144980Looking forward to it.
>>145041If I recall correctly, you can make or buy one of those houses and there's a good chance some will move in. I've considered making some, but I've been lazy about making a root barrier for invasive bamboo someone is giving me. so, I don't have the materials to make the houses just yet.
