I would want something to be able to withstand a storm in the ocean ultimately, say 6ft swell waves. most houseboats seem to be built for flat lakes. What ways do you think would be best to have a bluewater houseboat. I've thought about suspension systems, are there any other ways you think you could create a stable(ish) platform on the open ocean. hinged outriggers may also stabilize a platform, kind of like a trimaran with hinges that could be damped. any ideas would be appreciated.
