Hear some stories about Benchmade knifes opening in the pocket and scraping people, but in general they don't really happen, plus the "spring" isn't strong enough to cause any real damage, had mine for over a year by now a think and nothing like it ever happened, some people even have an issue to get the knife out. nothing to be afraid off if you buy a decent OTF. also I believe that the Benchemade oopses ware caused by a button retention fuck up and they fixed the issue long time ago.
