I am also making a new tiller (or concept for one, out of bent aluminium to start with) because the previous one terminated behind the mainsheet track so the tiller extension had to be fed behind it when tacking which was a hassle. The new one will run under the track instead which I think will work, but will give me slightly less max rudder angle. I'm going to try it out and see.
I have an Astus 20.5 Sport, pic related (but it's not my boat, mine's in winter storage at the moment).
