The stove comes with a hard plastic case that is no bigger than the stove itself and if you get the MSR titanium kettle, pic related, a large size fuel canister perfectly fills it. Or you can go with the small canister and put the stove it as pictured. The small canister and stove don't seem to fit that will in mine and I go with the large canister and put the stove in the little hard plastic case.
As for the stove itself, it works fantastic, is simple to the point of being bulletproof. If you turn the fire all the way up it goes SHHHHHH and sounds like a rocket taking off. Boils water as fast as a microwave, I swear.
I might however make the diy pop can alcohol stove and try that out just for the diy trail cred. Plus, those diy stoves are smaller and lighter than a fuel canister and stove, you just get a little squeeze bottle that screws down tightly to keep your Heet in.
