My camera died but I've a couple pictures from last year I can share.
First up is a Largemouth Bass (kind of skinny and roughly 17") caught at the mouth of the Mattawoman Creek near Marbury, Maryland. Straight across from the Sweden Point Marina in Smallwood State Park. Whole mess of aquatic plants over there. I caught it jigging a chartreuse grub rigged weedless. Top-water lures like frogs would probably work great too or jig spinners during high-tide when you can reel them above the tops of the plants.
I caught two more yesterday just a little bigger at Little Lake Seneca, Black Hill Park in Germantown, Maryland. Just jigging some 5" grubs again, watermelon colored. One had a pretty marred up tail-fin but it wasn't bleeding so I'm guessing it finished sweeping its bed for spawning sometime during the past week. At that time I was in Pennsylvania tearing up rock bass, smallmouth and bluegill the size of my hands! I really need a new camera.
