Yea this is a full-time endeavour for now! I just moved here about 3 weeks ago from Canada. Fuck that overpriced (albeit high QOL) country. I’m in the process of applying for jobs and ready have my name in a local job bank. I’ll get a job soon, so I’m logging 8-10 hours for about a week now just trying to get this land fixed up, make terraces and maybe get some animal enclosures built up. I won’t have the same degree of free time when employed, so it’s imperative do do this stuff now.
The house itself is a whole other can of worms. It’s really nice from the outside. We have tourists stop and take photos a lot. But issue is it currently has a rat issue in the roof, cockroaches in the lower level (making progress with them) and the roof leaks a tad inside, quite a bit in the garage. The kitchen and bathroom need to be renovated, the upstairs could use a fresh look too. New fireplace, but it doesn’t work properly. Need to install a wood stove in there. I’m wearing merino wool inside for now lol. But all the house stuff can wait, I’d rather have productive land and conduct animal husbandry then have some fancy faucet to wash dishes with. Picrel is my current vantage point when washing dishes.. not good lol
