Yes in the sense that people who have never climbed a mountain before can pay a guide agency to hold their hand all the way to the top
No in the sense that it is still the highest mountain in the world and if you fuck up you will become a corpse that the next group of people will have to step over.
Also there is many more routes up Everest other than the South Col or the NE Ridge which range from moderately more difficult to practical suicide.
Everest is always there for people who want a real challenge, just because yuppies pay to be walked up the easiest route does not make Everest an easy mountain
