1) Zoom Lizard 6” in Chartruese Pepper, has landed by far my biggest bass.
2) Zoom Baby Brush Hog in Sprayed Grass, great color and action and seems to work in nearly all conditions
3) Strike King KVD Perfect Plastics Swimmin Caffeine Shad, Baby Bass color- most productive of the swimmin baits I have used, fits on the hook the best, most consistent hook sets
I mean if you’re going to run any soft baits, Texas rigged or wacky rigged or swimming, keep 3 colors on hand for different water colors and sun and stuff. You want something bright like chartruese or white, something natural like watermelon or pumpkinseed, and something dark like Junebug or any black-blue-purple, that should cover your bases. Different brands use different types of plastic, so you gotta see what you like, Z-man uses super stretchy plastic that lasts a long time and has real wobbly action, Yum baits are a bit more stiff, Zoom is nice because they seem to be right in the middle and they have every color and design you could want, only thing I don’t prefer Zoom for is the super flukes because some other brands rig better for me.
