Don't buy chinese $10 shit, the needle is much more stable and responsive in the mentioned brands.
Don't know if burgers even make compasses anymore - all the stuff on amazon looks like chinese crap with vintage US brand names - be careful.
Look for one that works in your hemisphere if you are not in the northern one.
Baseplate is nice for measuring distance and ads very little weight. You do not need a mirror (personal opinion)
The more expensive models come with glow in the dark needles etc, also the ability to be used anywhere in the world, or ability to automatically compensate for true/magnetic north - would you rather pay 50$ more or remember to add or subtract a few degrees every time you use it? - not worth it in my book.
