I don't think I'm going to end up going out. Not only are we out of money (and I refuse to spend one more dime on this fucking project), but I'd also need a companion AND the weather has to be good. The combination of those 3 things makes it exceedingly unlikely that I'll get out. That said, I like the doubling up of the sleeping bag idea, and I'd never heard of a zippo hand warmer before. Neat stuff that I'll apply for camping this winter if I go somewhere I feel a bit more comfortable.
