Pentax makes a whole series of cameras that are pretty perfect for /out/ activities. Ive been using the Pentax K-30 and K-50 for awhile and both are weather sealed. The newest in that line is the K-70 which enjoys a lot of upgrades from the previous models. Another benefit of Pentax cameras is that all their lenses are interchangeable.
