>>1432913When I motocamp I just bring the same setup I'd take hiking, it's hard to go wrong with a Hammock and tarp if you're going to be near trees, but if not a bivvy is my next go to. Since you're on a bike you don't really need to get super-ultralight meme gear, you could get by with a regular polyester sleeping bag since space and weight aren't a huge issue, having a small alcohol or multifuel stove is also a nice luxury when you want to quickly prepare a hot meal.
I've got an XT225 myself and I'm curious what sort of riding you plan on doing, I wouldn't want to take my bike past 60 for any length of time so I'm guessing you're sticking to backroads. You also might want to consider supplementing the stock toolkit, I'd generally want a set of tubes for each tire, a pump, three tire irons, a patch kit, and a valve core tool in addition to my usual set of general tools when I plan on going more than a few hours from home. You'd also be wise to go ahead and get a spare carb side plate, it's particularly fragile on the XTs and has a habit of breaking off the top portion of the of the center tube if you accidentally force it against something during removal, it happened to me when I had to pull the carb apart on the side of the road to clean out crap from bad gas, I was able to superglue it back on and keep on going but knowing what I do now I'd carry a spare.
