>>1346701Yeah I hiked the Appalachian Trail, ~2200 miles from Georgia to Maine, then flew West and hiked the Tahoe Rim Trail, ~170 miles around Lake Tahoe. Water was taken from streams, rivers, lakes, ponds, etc. Food was bought every 4-5 days from towns near the trail. Normally you get to a road crossing and hitch into the nearest town then hitch back.
