>>1602625I have noticed that. I apologize for my impatience. So far, I have not caught anything large, but I haven't been skunked either. The first day was too choppy, so I fished the surf and brought in a small African Pompano and a small Spanish Mackerel. Day 2 was better, but not SUP weather. I have my SUP modded with a kayak seat and crate, and have a transformer paddle, so I just kayaked it, and caught a small lizard fish (synodus), and a small Jack Crevalle. Today was beautiful, and smoothed out nicely until the afternoon, when the wind picked up and brought a lot of chop. I caught another Jack today. Every fish was caught on a Gotcha lure, white body with a chartreuse head. I have tried a spoon, with some follows, but no bites, a swim bait that was a total dud, and a Sebile Flat Belly Walker, which is basically a budget Super Spook, and had a couple of nice blowups, but I didn't hook up.
I will tell you what GA bro, I really love it here. I'm not sure what living here is like, but visiting it is lovely. Being out there and seeing the diverse wildlife is just as much fun as the fishing itself. The fishing is more of a bonus. I got up close to a loggerhead turtle, as well as a few dolphins, and today, the blue water was FULL of a variety of jellyfish. None got very close to shore thankfully. If I could find a way to live here, I would be down here. I have a very good job at home, with a lot of time invested, but I have sent my resume to many places down here, but the places couldn't really match up to what I have now. For the time being, it will just have to be a vacation spot for me, but I wont give up. Thanks for taking the time to respond. It really does mean a lot. Here's a screenshot from the GoPro the other day, when a rogue wave dunked my rod while I was shore fishing in chest deep water.
