200$ gear is what I used for years and some of my best trips have been with my budget gear. some of it I got for free from friends and family , the military boots were free and the first pair of boots I've owned.
You gotta know bad gear to know good gear, and you gotta go out to figure out what actually works. I think the most fun I had was trying to figure out my poor fag loadout. This thread is most of my solutions to the problems I had with it and for new people starting out to start out with a better foot.
