Simpler knives are most versatile.
Lose the thumb ramp. Lose the jimping. Lose the tanto. Lose the cutout at the butt end. All will limit the uses.
Carbon steel. 3 or 4 mm. Probably 3 for costs.
G10 or micarta, or other synthetic.
Full tang if you can afford the production/material costs. Maybe options here and there for no handle or alternative handle materials.
