>>1436996I'm rambling a bit here lads but just to reinforce the "not just for rich people" Strathmore estate near Forfar was offering Roe Doe Stalks, fully accompanied by a stalker with great crack for £180 for a full day. Estate rifle hire for £20. I bet I'm about to get reamed by spastic that want public land hunting for free really badly but that's surely doable for you guys at least once a year right?
Anyway, learn as much as you can wherever you can. Do not try to become the hanger on to a gamekeeper just to get stalking or shooting favours because there will be AT LEAST 50 people already trying that shit.
A parting note, a shotgun certificate is easier to get than a passport if you're not a dick. If you get Deer Stalking Level 1, you're almost garunteed a firearms ticket for a rifle in .243.
Good luck.
