Pick a spot on the map where you'd prefer to be and just go there and put feelers out. Long story short I started from scratch at 30 with a car and a suitcase and zero farming experience, but talked to people and insisted on meeting people who needed workers in person rather than making calls and sending emails. That point A let me to point B and C etc.
Even though a lot of rural jobs look like they don't pay great on paper, the cost of living where they are is so low that you can save most of it or just spaz out and live like a king
