From experience INFI is really excellent, I love my Busse and I do want many more, but the crazy prices also come from hype and circlejerk.
The limited amout of knives they make (and the fact that they always retire models) works very well for them, because a Busse will always cost more second hand and there will always be people buying every single one in stock.
It's also not that great for small knives, just because there are many other steels that are excellent, like CPM 3v.
Busse excells at what now is being promoted as the ultimate xtreme tactical survival spec ops department, but the real one, ie real hard use knives and choppers.
Many people just dont use knives to that level so there's only hype and brand name left, because an Opinel will always cut and slice better than a Busse.
