>>544673It is remote and the population density is really low, theres tons of wild life and wild camping is legal (safe for finding a dry and level spot). hiking cross country can be difficult, there are very few trails and the area I've been to is one huge bog, it is like walking on a sponge. Also theres midges.
I have been to Iceland and Norway, which you could consider more 'wild', but this trip I enjoyed to have a pub every 2-3 days and a camping with a hot shower. Still if you go off road, you can easily spend a day or two or three without seeing a another person.
