>>1764833Real talk man. I had to go take a pic of my first rod and reel when I picked up fishing 2 summers ago. I bought this rod with no reel at a garage sale for $5. It's 5'6" and has no writing other than the name "quantum", then picked up a zebco 202 with 10# line for literally $7 at a big box store. Grabbed the cheapest pack of sinkers, hooks, and plastic worms Walmart had and started fishing the pond at my local park. Standard drop shot rig still my favorite. Out there catching bass for a $20 bill. I treated myself to some better gear this year and am keeping the cheap rig around to loan out or teach people on.
