>>2288955They have been doing that a lot in upstate New York apparently as many farms there are simply being abandoned or sold off for cheap by young people who inherited them and just want to leave for cities or elderly farmers that want to retire or just don’t have any heirs so the Amish have been moving in and buying up land left and right. Better them than black rock I suppose.
It would explain why their population in that state has more than quadrupled in 20 years rather than the usual doubling as seen elsewhere.
