>>1660184this style of knife would be horrible at that. the spine of the blade is arced towards the front so your baton would glance down and never strike at a full force blow. all of the power would be heavily reduced because of the angle. if you insist on batoning and not using a hatchet then at least get a knife made for it. like a condor machete.
