I lived in London for almost half of my life - non-whites, food and whores generally aren't a problem on a day-to-day basis. It's so fucking expensive, full of shitty landlords and you can barely afford to rent, let alone get on the property ladder. Also, air pollution and traffic did bother me towards the end. You just get fed up with it when you reach your 30s.
East Anglia is great - sparsely populated, picturesque in places and easy-going etc. The rest of the UK think it's backward, inbred etc, but those who come here know it's a comfy life here. Great for walks, cycling, countryside, beaches, pubs, local produce, food, ale, history and culture. I moved to the countryside and got married and we're going to have kids soon. I'd rather raise them near the beach and countryside, rather than in London or some shitty, featureless suburb.
