>>2148563Idk where you are but in ohio the ODNR does really well teaching info on fish species here with how, when and where to fish them. they have info on each species describing their spawning habits and when the best time of year to fish them are and they give info about each of the inland lakes and reservoir's and what fish can be found in them. they also give locations on where to park and what holes to fish for the rivers running through ohio as well. maybe your state does the same.
also don't get worked up about getting snagged or losing lures/spinners. I get snagged at least once if I'm in a new area and still lose lures every other trip and I've been fishing for 15 plus years
