>>1518618Geophysicist here. First 5 years of my career was spent in the field collecting data in the Australian outback, Africa and Eastern Europe. This involved everything from trekking up and down hills with instruments to flying around in helicopters to cruising about sand dunes in buggies. Pic related.
Now live in a medium sized city doing computer stuff. Too old for that field madness these days. I can go spearfishing, deer hunting and multi day hiking within an hour and halfs drive so it's not too bad really. Would recommend any earth science career.
