It's very warm, and kinda itchy on bare skin.
So far the best use ive made of it is to line the floor of my tent, virtually eliminates any cold from the ground.
I keep it in my truck, it's been handy for all sorts of things.
If you're looking for more of just a simple blanket that you can pack around, this ain't it, it's heavy and bulky. I'd recommend a Coleman fleece sleeping bag liner for weight and versatility.
