The jetstream at colorado and utahs latitude is a higher bend that enters around san francisco CA (around 950+ miles) and dips south in summer just before the monsoon. Which puts Denver at a minimum of 550-600 miles more continental than fort davis.

The band does a loop that starts high on the west coast and dips low east of the Rockies until the monsoon starts, in which it dips lower and pulls Pacific moisture from farther south over AZ and NM.
